indogurl05 i was there at the 30 hour famine for like the last 30 minutes as an artist's assisitant and i was kinda shocked that people could sit, sleep and do nothing for 30 hours while typhoon morakot friggen ravaged all of central and southern taiwan. although this was a event prepared be4 the typhoon, i just get a little bewildered, angry and shocked to see that Taiwanese people came to the event in droves and even exceeded the original estimation by about 1000., those people had more compassion for others in 3rd world countries then their own countrymen, though i am sure the majority of the people came to starve also went and helped typhoon victims in their own way. yeah,. that was my impression of the 30 hour famine which even the 1st lady of Taiwan came to and rang the last gong... truly... able to follow true with their words even in harsh times.

The famine was awesome.. i will join next year!! I enjoyed the time, just wish that there were more activity for us rather than sit down the whole time.. but I had fun and learned something.. Thank You World Vision. Let's change the world together!
