Despite my outward at times ragged, jagged seemingly exterior and my husband's quiet self we both truly love almost unconditionally humankind. We are neither atheist or agnostic and in our own personal ways worship Mother Earth, Mother Nature and Father Universe.
Humankind before developing culture, religion, education, politics, philosophy, medicine, gender roles, "love" "hate" concepts, ideals, paradigms, experiences, economics, morals, values, faith, no faith, beliefs, language, and laws we were almost pure in form.
We claim animals operate on instinct and we claim free will and intelligence ~ is there really any difference?
The development of such concepts and ideals have shaped and mortalized humankind our view of the world our place in it and position in the Universe. Many of these ideals and constructs are destructive to the development of humankind. Is it will or instinct which drive these tendencies? Are they inherent and or can they be unlearned. Is suffering a necessary part of life? If so how much should we allow if indeed we can control our destiny?
With respect to the non-human life forms Mother Nature and all her miracles from bacteria to baboons from fleas to elephants my position is we need nature, it does not need us. Mother Nature thrives and flourishes without our existence therefore I believe to solve many of our problems it is essential we reverse and unlearn a great deal of our systems and beliefs or we shall perish. As as far humankind is concerned there is no greater enemy than we are unto ourselves.
Nothing substantial in way of empirical evidence ... something inside compels our firm belief if we do not unlearn and relearn our system with respect to non-human life forms it will eventually be our undoing.
You got us, pigs may not build cars, cows cities and elephants nations. But then again how and why did the Holy Roman Empire fall? Too many animals of the human variety perhaps ?
Interests
I used to be a drunk, my husband and I junkies, and I a hater. Still get drunk on my inner demons and anger but are trying real hard to indulge in more laughter, light and love. We are still junkies of sorts however now of culture, history, learning, people, places and things. Have always been a nature and animal junkie. Was a real hater(did not know it) in remission have relapses from time to time to time. Indeed it is like a disease lives of its host like a parasite and it is contagious. Today I try very hard to live, love and laugh instead. The demons still make noise - but today my cats chase them off, my son, a smile from a stranger and lots of the great people I have met and the places I have traveled to via YOU-TUBE. My Beloved husband agrees with me too shut me up and is silent in many ways but is ~~~~~
