Created for Lonely Planet's "Less Than Three" competition, this film is part of my original inspiration to travel. I wanted to find out what it is that makes some people move and not others. Why do I want to travel and all my friends want stable jobs?

I set out to film this question, but then got sidetracked having a great time. So here is the footage, coupled with some classic travel moments that remind me why I travel: cultural exchange, understanding and general/lovely random-ness.

I travel to Wasilla, Alaska, to explore Sarah Palin's hometown and to see what the folks there have to say. Unsurprised at the full-on support her town gave her, I was shocked at how small Wasilla's Main St. is - five buildings long. How is it that Sarah Palin talks so much about Main St?
