The American people have been fooled into thinking that cracking down on new immigrants is going to stop deteriorating conditions. Problem is, this government has not intention of deporting all the cheap labor, no matter what. The more people call for deportations, the more the government will drive undocumented workers underground, so they will be even more attractive slaves to employers than they are now. Pushing people deeper into the shadows makes them more scared to report crimes like terrorism and makes it impossible for them to bring labor law violations to the attention of the public or the government. The Employer Sanctions law was passed in 1986. It was claimed that it would sanction employers for hiring anyone who was in the country illegally. Instead, this is a slave law that divides workers, allowing employers to enslave undocumented and dragging down conditions for other workers in the process. Is it better fore the American people if there is an underclass of slaves that has no rights -- or does it really hurt all of us. EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL WORKERS! NOW!
