The jury that awarded him the Prize said it was given to the President for his preference towards diplomacy and nuclear disarmament. If Obama is so peaceful then why did he establish more military bases in Colombia, allow more mercenaries into Iraq, send troops into Somalia, and aim to increase the size of the US military? On top of that, why was he originally in favor of letting Georgia join NATO (an outdated, Cold War-era military alliance), especially while it was under the leadership of the hated President Saakashvili? Why would he let somebody who is obviously oppressing his people join an alliance that supposedly supports freedom? Obviously the Nobel Peace Prize committees are composed of idiots.
