When discussing Church authority and it's hierarchical structure I always compare it to that of Judaism, that would make the pope a type of high priest. If you have ever read the Talmud the Jews understood that when the high priest consulted the Urim and the Thummim the decision was irrevocable, I found this to be similar to the Church's teaching in regarding papal infallibility.

And although the decision of a prophet can be revoked, the decision of the Urim and Tumim cannot be changed, as it is written [Num. xxvii. 21]: "The judgment of the Urim."(Tractate Yoma Chapter Vll)

Loads of thanks to all your effort, Father! Seeing that you have thousands of subscribers, can you please make a video on Theology of the Body, since the sexual sphere and it's counter part : mature purity is a stumbling block to a lot of people. Be wary of Christopher West's work though, as he is controversial on this subject. You're in my prayers, Father. Thanks and God bless! :)

I appreciate your explanation about the argument from desire, but it seems to me that fundamental principles of Darwinian evolution could explain it away and make sense of it better without the need for a god. Could you comment on this?

(continued...) Communism is loathsome. But part of whats so wrong w/ it is it places mans salvation in the earthly city, in mans own hands. My fear is that even though you dont mean to your emphasis on the Churchs approval of some albeit very qualified kind of capitalism gets the fundamental theological point wrong. There is NO salvation in the city of man gross injustices are (always) obtaining. Christians should never feel fully reconciled to any political/social mode beyond that of Christ himself.

Fr., I thank you for all your efforts forwarding the Catholic faith. All my comments here, all my objections are as a fellow traveler in the faith, one who disagrees over the point in question, but as a friend. -EB
