    Nick Lowe has indeed had an impact on modern c+w. I had an EP 30 years ago where he and Dave Edmunds did 4 Everly Bros. songs. Very C+W sounding. This also sounds a lot like Huey Lewis's song The Heart of Rock and Rol,l of that same time. I wonder whose came first?
