Try adding the third option to your matrix..namely to fight any negative consequences of climate change (take climate change serious and reduce pollution) without focus on CO2.
It may be hard to redevelop a true understanding about the causes of climate change because you have become so indoctrinated (sun intensity, cloud formation, sea water etc). Try to look for real scientific evidence and you will find that all scientific evidence invalidates a causal relation between CO2 and temprature. There is not even 1 argument named by IPCC or Gore that is scientifically not easily falsified.

AGW is a moral choice and moral choices should be outside the purview of the government. Respect your fellow man to make his moral choices otherwise you are promoting fascism which is where government does not own your property but tells you what exactly you can do with it.
