I am at nearly a mile above sea level. You lose 3% of horsepower for every 1000 feet in elevation. My 96 XJ 4.0 with same 5 speed did 0-60 in 8.5.

I had a 96 XJ Sport for a while, I miss that truck dearly. Cherokees and Broncos are IMO among the best true SUVs ever made.

yes, you have an exhaust leak, before the cat somewhere. check your exhaust manifold gaskets, including the ones for teh turbo, make sure too that you don't have any holes in your pipes.
