Follow a spoiler-free guide for the A ending; it's the only ending that matters, and the requirements for it aren't "obvious" to the new player.

I'm not one for emotion in any video game scene. Sure, some scenes (Aeris is all I can think of ATM) are famous for their ability to get out a tear or two, but never has such a scene affected me as this one, where Hope places the doll there.
