With Love From Humans! have landed...
This energetic and optimistic pop explosion blasts from Bath in the United Kingdom.
The quintessential With Love From Humans! sound walks the line between the Strokes and the Beach Boys, cultivating catchy guitar lines, delectable drum patterns and impassioned vocal harmonies with a smattering of trumpets, delivering the whole bundle in a recognisably British manner.
Since the formation in the dusk of 2007 our travels have taken us on two UK tours, playing over 60 dates including slots at Glastonbury, Beach Break Live, The Larmer Tree festival and the BBC's Fresh on the Net festival, to name but a few. We were also fortunate enough to support the latest "Best UK Female" at the Brit Awards, Laura Marling. Our latest record was recorded in Miloco Studios (as used by Oasis, Bloc Party, Chemical Brothers and Biffy Clyro etc), produced by James Barr (Yann Tiersen, Kellly Rowland) and mastered by Jon Astley (Led Zeppelin, KT Tunstall).
The release of our eponymous debut EP with Expat Records marks the beginning of a new era of With Love From Humans! and will swiftly be followed with the recording of a full length album, likely to be released in 2012, if the world doesn't end...*
*Mad scientists maintain that if the world appears to be ending, then purchasing a copy of any With Love From Humans! record is likely to save 98.7% of people!
"Imagine a hybrid of VanMorrison & TheKooks but really really good. Joyous & uplifting. We love them dearly!"
- Tom Robinson (BBC 6 music, 17.08.09)
"Impressive, upbeat and funky acoustic pop, energetic stage presence"
- Acoustic Magazine (released 28/08/09)
Our 24 date UK tour was very successful with glowing reviews and great crowd reactions all round.
"The pièce de resistance of the Bath set was With Love From Humans, a funky mass of guitars and a trumpet who really had me dancing!"
- Sophie Collard (Suit Yourself Magazine)
"If a distant civilization in a far-away galaxy were to open a package labelled With Love From Humans they would release an unruly snapshot of modern life and love from our 21st Century planet. An antidote to gloom and foreboding, these guys chop out an upbeat carnival of charm and wistfulness; a peculiarly British sound that wraps up elements of Kinks, Kooks, melody, rhythm and atmosphere. They're as upbeat a postcard from Earth as we're likely to send..." Producer, Davey Ray Moore.
"Brilliantly cute and quirky. These boys are incredibly talented. A fantastic example of British indie-pop. 9/10"
