@awesomesolo The .243 will work perfect...it's light, has little recoil, and will kill a deer just as well as any other caliber....I would recommend using 95 grain Nosler Ballistic tips, either handloaded or from Winchester, although with the war factory loaded ammo is a bit spendy...28 bucks a b...
