The V Foundation Wine Celebration is a world class wine event and auction benefiting The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Set in Napa Valley, the heart of California Wine Country, this special event brings together people from the technology, sports entertainment, and winemaking worlds to raise money for the fight against cancer.

Founded by Julie and Andrew Constantin in 1999, the V Wine Celebration has grown from its humble beginnings to a world-class wine event. Guided by a dedicated volunteer board, the two-day fundraiser has raised over $30 million since that first event in 1999.

The V Foundation is fully endowed with 100 cents of every $1 awarded to cancer research. The Foundation has received five consecutive top 4-star ratings from Charity Navigator.

V Foundation Grant Awarded To The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute
The V Foundation for Cancer Research, one of the nations leading cancer research fundraising organizations, announced that a Supplement to the Lung Cancer Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) grant to support innovative clinical trials was recently awarded to Dr. Jill M. Siegfried at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. The $1 million grant was given in honor of Emily Miner, a 39 year old mother of two who was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. Miner received the grant in her honor at the 2009 V Foundation Wine Celebration.

Lung cancer is the deadliest type of cancer for both men and women worldwide. More people die of lung cancer each year than of breast, colon and prostate cancer combined. Unfortunately, because symptoms don't appear in most patients until the disease is advanced, very few patients survive beyond five years.

Thank you to everyone who helped us reach our $1,000,000 goal. Whether it was $5, $10, $100...whatever you were able to spare - your continued support help fund this great research initiative. The V Foundation awards 100 percent of all new direct cash donations and net proceeds of events directly to cancer research and related programs.

Together we are making a difference.
