Winding Stairs

Winding Stairs is a duo from Gothenburg and the members are Lina Wedin and Martin Wahlqvist. The band was founded in April 2004. Lina and Martin were tired of sitting in the chamber, playing by themselves, and sought inspiration from each other. A friend of Martin, who knew Lina from an art class, brought them together. The unique sound of Winding Stars was born from the collision between their different musical abilities.

A couple of months after Winding Stairs was founded, Martin ran into producer Martin Molin (Stella Studio) at a coffee house in Gothenburg. They started talking and after some correspondence, telephone calls and demos being sent back and forth, Martin Molin invited Winding to his studio. During an intense week the recording of Lend me your Movement was made. That's the background.
