Learn how to Create Color and Dimension with Fondant Inlays and Overlays

10,799 views 3 months ago
Fondant inlays and overlays are a simple way to add color and visual interest to any cake. Fondant cut-outs are fondant shapes that can be made in a variety of sizes and colors. An overlay is a cut-out applied to the surface of a fondant covered cake to give the cake dimension. An inlay or flat overlay is created when the fondant cut-out shape is placed evenly into another piece of cut out fondant; this entire smooth piece of fondant is then applied to your cake or sweet treat.
