I've just watched "Last Seen Wearing", and this theme plays! It was wonderful then and it made me cry. I broke into tears again today! It really is difficult to describe. After seeing a terrific show, to be launched into this song, it's still wonderful.

I literally find it hard to see the difficulty these men go through daily! A boat turned around to find them but they were gone.

I was fortunate enough to have someone share this with me, I'm sentimental I suppose, but this song ALWAYS brings tears. I realize NOW how difficult it must be to farm in my home state, Minnesota, How much more difficult can it be in Canada?

I recall the opening and closing instrumental driving me crazy back in 1976. I just looked above. I never knew his name was Ryland. I was fortunate enough to see him live, my my! Just listening now makes me need to see if I still have that album.

How many people have I wanted to say this to? A sign of their stupidity and my weakness.

I also first noticed this on "The Rookie". I don't understand how so few lyrics can do so much. I've listened to this at least 30 times now and don't see any reason to stop, it usually makes me feel better and stronger AND smarter. It sounds as good live as it does on the record - quite rare.

I've known of her for a very long time(ever since early days with Willie and the Bees). I have been so happy with her great work. I just listened to her version of "That Song About the Midway" and it had me in tears. Joni Mitchell wrote it but Bonnie Raitt sang such a song!

John Prine is perhaps the best songwriter and singer I have ever heard. Others sound better, but none have his sense. I am brought to tears by several tunes and to sheer laughter by others. I expect he is one of the great gifts given to us in the last 100 years.
