Erm...well, where to begin?

I have a very strict opinion on what 'work' is, and that something only constitutes as 'work' if the end result is a positive benefit for someone in some way. I enjoy helping people, when I can, but I also like backing away when I know my involvement will just make matters worse.

There are a few VERY LONG LISTS of my favorite music, TV shows, and movies below. I tend to enjoy a wide variety of genres in TV in film, but for some reason the books I read tend to be specifically in the teen-fiction-supernatural/sci-fi/dystopian range.

Some things I DON'T like, for the pessimists reading, include:
The Vampire Diaries - some offensively terrible female characters, non-sensical plot twists, unnecessary scenes - like that one where a character killed himself to talk to a ghost who moments before WROTE A MESSAGE TO HIM ON HIS PHONES - logic? - with only a phonecall to a powerless witch who was currently walking away from the building he was in to come back and save him after he died...does this make sense to anyone? It makes no sense to me - and then there's the small issue of it depicting 16 year old characters having sex with one another. We get it. They want to be 'mature', but really, they're just making it easier for sleazy men in their fifties and cougars to turn on the TV and watch half naked 16 year olds kiss. It's weird.

I don't like war, racism, homophobia, discrimination, and I don't understand prejudice against religion - if a person believes in God, it's a PERSONAL thing, and has nothing to do with anyone else, so why do people take it to hear when someone else doens't share their beliefs? It doesn' make sense to me.

I would like to be a movie reviewer, an author, script-writer or directior, have some far-fetched dreams of being an actress (I saw 'far-fetched' because my reaction to being in front of a camera or large group of people is not at all, in any way, normal), but mostly I want to be a movie reviewer. I'd also kinda like to be the ginger equivalent Veronica Mars when I grow up, but again, that is but dream that will never come true.

Aaand I think that's about it. Apart from a deep love for food, lace (c'mon, it's pretty) and Joseph Gordon Levitt's phenomonal talent, there's not a lot else to add.

Basically, I'm very boring and spend too much time on the internet...but you knew that already.
