I created this channel to show off some of my other songs. I love to write folkier sounding songs and my heart truly belongs to the genre of country music. I love writing country and I hope to one day make it in to a full time career.

About this user

My name is William, but you can call me Will. I go to University and live for the moments I can write music and perform. I am the singer/guitarist/songwriter for my main band A New Honour. However, I write a lot of music that just doesn't fit into the rock band category and I'd love to share it with everyone so I've created this little account to have a launching pad for my other ideas.

I have played guitar for like 10 years now and have been writing music since I was about fifteen years old. I played piano since I was like 10 years old but I am far from good at it. However, with the magic of chord transposing, I can fake it enough to make up songs here and there. I had the cover band in high school, played the coffee houses in my first and second years of university and I am in the midst of recording my band's debut album.

I have a lot of great friends and have lived a pretty great life. Its had its ups and downs, actually it still does, and I write songs from those situations or from various other things in life.

I've always loved performing and playing music. Since I was young and fresh on the guitar, my dad the preacher man took me all over the place to play various church gigs and stuff and from there my love for music flourished. I have my dad to thank for where I am today. I come from a little place called Peguis which is two hours north of Winnipeg. There's not a tonne of things to do out there so music was what kept me out of trouble. I am now situated in Winnipeg for University (oh, I'm trying to be a Doctor when I'm not singing or strumming) and it's a great place to be.

As of right now, I'm working on my debut solo EP for an April 2010. I've put a song up here for starters, and trust me, there will be more to come soon. Until then, however, enjoy the music and always sing, sing, sing.
