Previously known as Elvistheonlyking & Elshons, I was better known as a stage-hand ONCE for "the Great Presley". To say I was absolutely thrilled would be an understatement for I soon discovered just how lucky I truly was. Working mostly behind the scenes still gave me sufficient opportunity to be able to study Elvis up close, and also got to talk to him on several occasions.. just how lucky was that! Elvis was called 'The King' 'cause he was period! The title was given to him by none other than greats of this world who seemed to know it suited only Elvis. Can't think of anyone else better can you???
Elvis had a God given voice was stunning with classic good looks of course, and will always be the greatest & brightest Star this planet has ever known. There can never be anyone quite like him then or since, for you see God broke the mold when he created Elvis!!!
Elvis wasn't given the songs he wanted to do nor the best material so deserving of his amazing vocals unless slipped to him! The music company he was going through sucked, he wasn't happy about it couldn't sleep, and since he suffered from insomnia Just... THINK! You finally see my point?? Elvis not just kicks Beatles BUTT but Everyone then & since. The Beatles had mostly hippie fans while Elvis had all types of all age fans, Even Beatles' fans those who weren't "Spaced Out .-) Beatles were not well known over the globe Elvis was/ Is by his first name alone also common to Coke & Pepsi. Beatles were more like famine brothers had dirty teeth, shaggy hair (FACT) Elvis was most particular in hygiene had God given looks, style, class, talent and unbelievable vocals! Elvis Rocks in Every style not just king of rock n roll but in every kind of Music, had grace, charisma kindness generosity unlike Beatles who were rude. Elvis had a terrific sense of humor even (Beatles loved it and admitted it) Beatles wrote crappy songs two words mostly where as Elvis wonderful songs with true meaning never lip- sync-ed nor shrieked .There is soo much more I could go on and on but for now it's all I'll put down as space is limited, and Elvis would need volumes to cover! Don't you dare shoot your mouth off for having worked closely on and off for 8 years or more with many greats in this lifetime, I do know it all having seen it upfront. Elvis was way too big to go overseas none would've had security tight enough to hold him nor a venue big enough to house the crazy crowds so he had to play the Astrodome several times just to satisfy them. The population being less than today, even then seats weren't enough as everywhere he performed was "SOLD OUT" breaking his own attendance records, ALWAYS! The whole city would come and from different parts of the world too, It wasn't easy as of today. PLUS if he went over the globe they probably would've needed the military to guard him.. JUST remember 4 Beatles BUT only ONE Elvis Always (No1) He outshone not just Beatles but everyone then and since all the way, Every single way and THAT'S a bitter pill to swallow! Write his own songs?? He didn't have to Dope, he did co-write a few but had he wanted too would've accomplished even THAT and anything else to for he was Soo gifted! But being a major Hollywood Star the highest paid could dance, play the guitar, piano conduct his own orchestra (not a toy band) sing & perform to Perfection and unlike Beatles, was also way too busy!!
Elvis was literally begged to do others songs and when he did he Out- Sold their versions. He would re- orchestrate it kind of Simon & Garfunkel's weak version of Bridge Over trouble waters making it a lot more powerful.. giving life to them. Same with the Beatles,Tom Jones Righteous Bros & Englebert's songs to name a few. All flipped out when Elvis wanted to cover their songs, made a mint off him and got noticed finally! Though none could hope to do the same with his! Ahhh well, they All had crazy audiences including Michael Jackson that would rip them to shreds and Yet with Elviss poor health & exhaustion even towards to end, all he had to do was wriggle a little finger for women to WET themselves. The Hilton SOLD Womens panties as so many got Soo excited and couldn't control their bodies. NOW THATS .....POWER!!!
Oh and another thing, I really hate it when any idiot calls Elvis a fat ass. First of the man was 6FT PLUS his normal weight 165 during Aloha concert just a perfect Adonis! Early '74 to mid'77 just Purrfect the day Elvis died he weighed 220 HE WAS SICK. And yet people still like to remember the worst. Don't know many 35 or even 28 year old's that have a waist size of 32" in pants and Elvis wasn't Pint size either! With or without weight he proved he was The sexiest man alive ever as only he could be with vocals to match! The Beatles and Michael Jackson looked more like comic books beside Elvis and yet loved him for it!
Elvis trusted doctors. Way back when he was a kid they made house calls and that was the person you paid attention to..

It was the way in those days, Elvis was old fashion & cultured always believed them, was brought up that way. before Elvis was just coming back to stage he did the 68 'Comeback Special' stole the ratings on TV! What Critics were saying was; Elvis soon changed their minds and would remain so which would last till TODAY, Now try beating THAT!! Meeting the President on a whim Is just NOT possible but nobody said NO to Elvis they just couldn't. You saw for yourself Presidents & Primes Ministers even Prince & Princesses like Princess Caroline a fan who paid her respects at his death.. At the oval office when Elviss guys waited outside for him they were told they wouldn't be allowed in, they told the staff ,"You don't know Elvis man what he wants he gets" and get he DID! Today the picture of Elvis with Nixon is the MOST requested pic out of the Nixon Library, Now THATS POWER!! Why Even the Queen & Princess Diana of "your" country expressed they love and admiration for Elvis, and If you were to talk to the Beatles they'd probably kick you in the BUTT for putting Elvis down. Meeting, hearing and seeing Paul and the rest personally talk about Elvis and what he meant to Your "Fab Four" which lasts till today might give you a good idea to shut the hell up till you know what the king was, Or better ask them for haven't they said so repeatedly You deaf or blind or what?? Today for a dead man 34 years later he sells out more than any living or dead person and Thats Power!! Give yourself a treat go and see "The Elvis Concert" that's making huge waves all over the country and across the globe too, see for yourself and you will never be the same again. Beatles and Michael Jackson were good but as Lennon said, "Before Elvis there was nothing millions agreed only to swiftly add, even after Elvis there was little else! Elvis went on to the Aloha the first Live Via Satellite concert Ever, going out to 44 countries where over 1.4 Billion watched this concert which WAS MORE THAN PEOPLE WATCHED THE MOON LANDING NOW THATS POWER!! Led Zeppelin who came to town to play that very night. While Elvis Sold Out as usual they DIDN'T!! Robert Plant came to Elviss hotel he loved hanging out with Elvis and pretty often would come after his shows. Robert a huge Elvis fan couldn't stop talking about the King and so with the Beatles who are still talking!! On Elviss Madison Square show he was THE Only performer to have Sold Out 4 FOUR consecutive times in a row breaking HIS OWN attendance records!! I guess what was left of the Beatles at that point was they knew JUST who was king, admitting it since John & George were at the Concert cheering Elvis On, NOW THATS not just a slap in the face but also PROVEN POWER, the Beatles have agreed not once but every time, don't believe me or Don't want too?? Even with all the facts??? Then listen to Plant Brian Epstein Or your "Fab Four" who were just as crazy about the king and never did hide it unlike Michael Jackson who copied the King in every way possible and had to marry his daughter just so he could get as close as possible to The King! Having seen almost every other performer living OR dead fact Is Elvis sounds more powerful than anyone you care to name despite the improvement in sound technology which most rely on today other than lip- syncing! Check with the video The voice range of Presley which will do for now as Elvis in person was much much more. Read up also also the info in the side-bar. So now you know just WHO IS KING Even if you didn't. For while Michael Jackson was hoping for a Comeback (better known as a dancer with a few good songs) the Beatles with John who was still around could do nothing quench the thirst Elvis left behind. Fans were still gasping for a long gone dead Elvis. Now THATS POWER!! Admit even if you didn't and stop saying crap or sounding like a joke if you don't wanna be called one!!Born in the UK, and raised on American soil, I was lucky to have been there, saw it all, while you weren't otherwise you wouldn't be saying the crap you do, and would have known just who WAS king like the rest of them!
