This YouTube-site contains videos that relate to an artistic PhD research called "A new approach to playing keyboard instruments", which I carry out at Leiden University. Among other things, this research aims at showing that a musician can be firmly rooted and critically acclaimed in the Western classical tradition and at the same time develop a truly 21st language, solo and with musicians from other backgrounds, such as world music, avant-jazz and adventurous pop music, This goal is in line with the profile of Rotterdam Conservatoire, where I work as a professor of main subject organ, improvisation and theory, and a research supervisor of master students. Therefore, Rotterdam Conservatoire supports my research.
