I've found that by adding a small inlet hole for air, you get a longer, more controlled exhaust instead of the pulsejet effect. Did this in my barracks room one time a few years back and nearly knocked out the ceiling tiles lol...

@youcockbag Power is not always everything, you are certainly right in that regard. But why can't there the best of both worlds? Take the small turbocharged V8 in the Ferrari F40 for example. It only displaced 2.9 liters but came from the factory with almost 500bhp.

They ran the cars for a few laps to get a good MPG estimate for them. The M3's "gas sucking V8" averaged 19 MPG...

@godkilleroswin It's cause the dumbasses didn't dig in their spades before they shot. Notice how the cannon flies back a good 12-18 inches. The two "legs" (called trails) that rest on the ground end in curved pieces called spades used to transmit the recoil from the gun to the ground.
