@leloodallasmultipass Yes, it can. California assault weapon laws (CA PC 12276.1) do not apply to rimfire rifles. So long as you meet the 26" overall length and 16" barrel length, you're good under both federal and Ca law. As it is now, the barrel is 20" and the overall length is ~30".
