Your system is looking good. Try some Seaweed extract.(about a small cap full every other day for a week and then small cap full every other week) To help the plants along. My first system took forever to get the plants going. Hang in there it will come around. It take awhile to build up Nutrients in a lightly stocked system like yours. On my first system I was using small gold fish stock at a rate of 1 fish per 3 gal of water and it took three and half months before I got good growth from the plants. Get the lighting issue fixed and a bit of time for your system to truely get the cycle going and every thing will be fine.
