It was at least one-hundred degrees in Iraq as the Marines sat down in plastic chairs. The platoon was a like any other. There was Sean - a First Lieutenant, Chase - a Second Lieutenant, Cole - a Sergeant, And two Privates -- Smithy and Bill. They are a Marine infantry unit also known as the Grunts. They sat down outside a tent with there light machine gun Smithy and Bill smoking a cigarette. "All you sissy's do is sit around smoking" said Cole. Bill laughed, but was cut off by the sound of gun fire. Chase was the first one to get up and said "Let's kill something". "Yeah!" Smithy said. "Hold on" Sean said, and continued "Charlie 9 do you have conformation on friendly in the area". Sean waited for an answer. "Alpha 5 that's a negative you are clear to engage". Sean got up and said "Lets kill something". And the marines were off
