I remember seeing this soundie when I was in high school circa 1945. I was immediately in love with Juneand the Kento Orchestra.

This is my favorite all time Kenton piece. I was in the audience when Ken Richmond led the Orchestra from his lead alto chair. Buddy Childers intro was good to see again. He was the greatest lead player ever.

Your dad was withou ta doubt the greatest lead trumpet ever, not to mention his great photgraphy achievments as well as his perfect flying record and adherant to the Bahi faith. One of my favorite people he gave me the ability to know him as a person. A prime example of a life well lived.
