Bren went out of fashion as it was too acurate.
The modern battlefield demands rate of fire and supression, not pin point accuracy .. fo rthis, the less accurate GPMG / M60's are better ... Belt fed, they scatter the rounds, giving a far greater area of supression.
I do agree though,...
