About this user

wiarm is a band.
For Willy and Armin it is a decleration of love to music and the passion to create something, that might be easy guitar sounds as well as strange synthesizers.
Actually it´s only the will to play and about the good feeling to hear influences from musician friends or favorite bands when we listen to something we did. The sound and the making of reminds us of good times and that is what we try to imply.
In the very beginning, 4 years ago, the music has been reduced to a minimum of sound. The description on myspace.com had to encourage the ironic way „Sounds like: a c g e". And also the band name should proof the minimalism. Not just in defiance or in contempt to high techniques of playing instruments but rather to glorify simplicity.
Tocotronic, Symbolyzing, guitar with voice have been overcome definitively. Mainly the symbolizing part, not only for minimalism. Wiarm stands not for easy songwriting anymore but for that what the band is doing it that very moment. And that`s music.
Because I really appreciate when people tell their favorite movies or favourite Photographer or whatever, I want to name some of the influences and bands we have seen live or we still want to experience. And that are Beirut, Ratatat, Mgmt, Portugal.The Man, Deus, Yann Tiersen, Radiohead.
