Wade House Historic Site is owned and operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society. The 27-room stagecoach inn, built in 1850, is restored to the period of the mid-1860's. Also featured on site are the Dockstader Blacksmith Shop (reconstructed in 1953), the Herrling Sawmill (reconstructed in 2001), and the Wesley Jung Carriage Museum which houses a collection of over 100 restored vehicles.
