I have had her now for close to 40 years, and apart from a slightly loose big end she runs perfectly, still brings a smile when I light her up...

Nice job. Interesting here in Australia Toyota prohibit running the D-4D engine on Veg oil or bio-diesel, engine fuel system warranty is cancelled if any fuel other than diesel is used. If you aren't having any problems I wonder why they do that?

This is a display engine used by an oil additive company, they prep the engine with teflon oil treatments like slick 50, or Nulon. They don't have any electrics wired up to the throttle actuator, that can shaped thing in the middle of the engine, so the fap fap fap man is driving the fuel rack directly. He does like a rev or three don't he. Pity he didn't idle it back a bit they sound magical, and so quiet, for a GM, at idle.
