On April 23, 2010, Randy Credo and Timothy Lin came up with a revolutionary idea involving lightshows. Otherwise known as Intake and Domo, the duo had the idea of taking the hobby of gloving to the next, uncharted level. This would become the birthplace of the idea Team Whomp. These two had created a form of lightshows that nobody has matched, with the help of William Kietly and Michael Huang. Will and Michael shared their experience with a form of synchronized, double lightshows; an art that would then be transformed to fit and become Intake and Domo's signature style. Around September, Intake and Domo decided that they should come up with a name to be identified by. As these two were some of the few glovers who loved the nasty and filthy basslines of dubstep, they found the name "Whomp" to be suitable. Intake and Domo also spent most of their practice time using dubstep, as opposed to typical genres of EDM used by glovers today.
Using their unique style, Team Whomp saw bigger things than typical gloving; they saw opportunity. The duo would then coin the idea of somehow creating a live visualizer for EDM Rave Dj's to use. Through attending as many events as they could to spread their name, as well as trying to connect with fans through the use of lightshow song requests sent in by the fans, Team Whomp would grow. The guys would then make the decision to start picking up fellow Whomp members, and Generation 2, Skitz and Ditto, were picked up. Generation 3, Kuma and TimEbomb, would follow soon after. However, Generation 2 would come to realize the amount of work and effort it would take to reach the goal planned out by Intake and Domo, and eventually backed out. Team Whomp wishes the best to Generation 2, but became revamped with inspiration to achieve their goal. DJ Steve Lock has come into Team Whomp's court and has given the guys a chance to finally blow up with something completely new to gloving, and Team Whomp is grateful and eager to work with Steve Lock.
