Every day, you are branded by the media as a lost generation. Dumbed-down, game-numbed, hoodie-wearing, knife-wielding yoof, good for nothing but sensational headlines. Does it make you want to stand up, speak out, show the world who you really are?

In the summer of 2008, we sent 12 packages to 12 vloggers, asking them to do just that and inspire their viewers to do the same. The result is this film.

Over half a million young people responded. Here are some of their views ... soundbites that explode the media myth of the youth of today. They show that you are caring, thinking and bold. The very qualities shared by the young RNLI crews who inspired us to start this debate. We hope that after you've watched the film, you'll be moved to voice what you think in a text message or a video of your own.

After all, who better than you to change the perceptions of your generation for good.
