Frozen In Time was formed during the early part of 2006. Stefan Paquet (former drummer) and Tom Bill decided to jam one day. Yu heard about it and tagged along. Yu was initially there just to watch, but decided to play bass with the keyboard. With music ready, the three members invited Mike Laccabue to be their vocalist. Soon the band practiced each weekend, doing mostly covers of popular bands. The band had the original name, "the XC band" since all members were from the Monta Vista cross country team.The band performed at a small gig at Mike Laccabue's house around June at the end of the school year. Due to the busy schedules of each member, the band was separated during the year of 2007. In early 2008, Tom, Mike and Yu once again got together one night at a sleep over and picked up their instruments and played some songs. The magic was still there. The three members did covers such as Wonderwall by Oasis and Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry with electric drum beats and posted videos on Facebook and YouTube. The band was looking for a drummer, and they finally found one in February. Keaton Chiu took the job and Frozen in Time was formed. The name comes from a bike ride along Skyline Blvd. (CA 35) around sunset with a temperature of less than 30 degrees. Descending on Highway 9 was terribly cold and the name Frozen In Time, originally an idea for a song title, was born. Unfortunately, after a falling out with the rest of the band, Tom Bill left in the Fall of 2009, and in December, Alec Le was added on guitar and Nancy Hsieh joined the band on bass guitar.
