Whoops! Sorry, I removed a few comments because I had his and Donny's ages mixed up with different performances. It was Donny who debuted at 5 on Andy Williams. I'm only just now coming across their earliest stuff and realize Jimmy's was quite a remarkable debut at only age 3.

Oh gosh, he's incredible! Only 5? Has all that memorized with such intricate expression and a keen sense of rhythm? Notice how it's 4 people at whom he quickly points the second time. Is it an angel, a living doll, and a grown-up all in one?

Oh wow! I've never come across Jimmy younger than a teen. Here he seems to be potentially the most incredible of all the Osmonds. What an expressive little man! What a universal cuteness the others didn't have.

Nanette Fabray--What's My Line
Nanette Fabray was the mystery guest on the 18 November 1956 edition of WML.
@GPa2010 Well, actually, I first commented here just after I'd come across and commented on that. Yeah, she's so much the same that I expected the interviewer at any moment to "squeal" and expose her as the last remaining survivor of an early 80s' body snatcher invasion or something, ha ha . I re...

@GPa2010 I'll have to try to find Ms. Irene Dunne's first WML. It's such an entertaining escape to join in on the huge smiles and eye-watering laughter of that world. We're lucky it's oh-so-familiar (I'm 45). Yeah, golden clips shared by awesome people!

"Pittsburgh?!! Sam, our daughter just made a long distance call on a toy telephone, doesn't that bother you?!!" I think I've laughed the most at Dick York's expressions and reactions. His eyes are powerful.

It IS a cool song that might have come about too late. I discovered it on an old I've Got a Secret episode. It was played for the panel celebrities and they reacted favorably. Funny, though, each one was clearly bewildered by a first listen to the Ronettes' Be My Baby that was actually #1 on t...

Interview with film icon Bette Davis
Steve gets into his 'way-back' machine and revisits an interview he conducted with Bette Davis shortly before her death, more than 20 years ago.
This is the first I've seen her eyes without the intensity that, I guess, was a big part of her strength. She's finally face-to-face with her weakness (his looks). She's adorable. Her eyes ARE extraordinary.

@bootspur Ft. Worth was great for us kids back then! Here in Tyler we managed to be glued to the whole hour every morning during breakfast and getting ready for school. This adult stuff was kids stuff, too.

Karin Hoyer with the latest on the Gulf War and its impact "even in Texas."
I was born in '65. It was a big deal to have LVO Cable here in Tyler (between Dallas and Shreveport) so we could watch the new independent KXTX Channel 39 that competed with Fort Worth's KTVT Channel 11 in the early 70s.

Oranges Poranges - Pufnstuf
Witchypoo does a singing act to try to steel the golden flute!
I remember thinking this scene's cloaked Witchiepoo is funnier than normal. Her quickness is more comical if a costume is in the way. She should have a traditional witch's cloak instead of hobo stuff, color contrast and kicking legs that distract from her speedy facial gestures.

She's a better Witchiepoo in traditional cloak and hat. Her marvelous quickness of expression is funnier, not as silly as with the hobo cap, jagged skirt, clown face and those Buster Browns.

@seanviv2 Same here at 45! I've recently rediscovered Lidsville. Actually was confused by the lunchbox (my very first) before I saw just a few episodes back then, but Charles Nelson Reilly IS so cool and there's a mystique about the whole thing.

Yeah! Stay in love with the 45s. I got an earlier Technics and it cues nicely (quarter turn) just after the Carpenters "All Hit Radio!" jingle (hobby FM transmitter 97.3 for the neighbors). This one's a good 14 second jock intro. I always thought it was Donna Fargo. The "honey doggonit I dep...

Just wait. Bush is no beast. Bush is a bush. The squared-off, blood-shot starry eye of the flag will rescue all of us in nuclear war from the overpopulation. "Oh, say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave? (the flag left on the moon) O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave!"

Rod Brasfield came out singing a Faron Young (the host) song. "Blow boy, blow!" was slang for somebody to go away. Minnie replies, "You gotch here, didn't you?" Then Rodney says, "He's the first cousin to clothes (look sharp)."

National Anthem USA (ALL VERSES)
USA national anthem, the Star spangled banner...with lyrics.
Two verse version of the US anthem.
Fellow citizen! Realize the Stars and Stripes is a squared-off representation of a blood-shot eye of the heavens. It's not gonna hurt if we use the word God for heaven. We have to use some kind of word. In God We Trust!

RUSSIAN National Anthem
Russian (Soviet) national anthem.
Whoops! Sorry, I can't find but the Soviet anthem with the Russian flag. The Soviet Union launched, orbited and landed a shuttle WITHOUT ANYBODY on it? My God! The moon landings started 40 years ago. We know we Americans suck. So did we just before Hitler and his pinwheel.

RUSSIAN National Anthem
Russian (Soviet) national anthem.
It's very nice! I drink vodka like it's water. But, why didn't the Russians, much closer to this land, come before the Europeans from the other side way across the Atlantic? The rebels of the English king, unknowingly, sewed a banner that symbolized a (squared-off) bloodshot eye of the above....
