Zombie consumers invaded a major shopping mecca on Buy Nothing Day 2008 (November 28, 2008) in an effort to protest the mindless frenzy and excessive consumerism of the largest shopping day of the year, commonly known as Black Friday.

As they shambled forward, I heard them groaning strange un-zombie-like things such as "consume", buy", and "sale".
