LOST & FOUND
If I had to think about it anymore I'd most probably get lost If anything ever comes back its usually been misused, bagged or forgot
The man on the side of the platform says hell be home soon He leaves playing Americas tune But he never sees it into next week His Wife she prepares for the churches upkeep
And theres an old man on the sidewalk talking to himself Left to limp from a stick, left to rot on the empty shelf His hands and feet covered in blood and gravel and dirt And the houses on the side of the street are all torn and burnt
Theres a child in the alley not kicking a ball Cries for his Mother, his Sisters passed on They sent the men in there today to clean it up But still nothing changes, his family still gone Cant wish him luck for another day Nothing in the World will ever take away his pain
And what you going to do with the lost and found Bag them up and roll them out Fight a bad fight, try sending us astray Hoping that we never again see the light of day Do we sit here idle and take the flak When another life is lost out there in Iraq
I saw a Nun on the independent news, preaching over beds The doctors and the nurses most probably dead Hope well it fades to another day When a Mother and child are torn apart this way
And what to prove, for power, for greed For sheer chaos to decay it then leave Forcing a family from their home they flee And now those lost cant take a stand For youve demolished Afghanistan
Well its never right, in wars we fight Its never right the spoonfed lies Told by you, you treacherous fools On Homeland earth and soil abroad Youll rot in Hell lest we get you before
