I doubt J Chandler was a cross-dresser.....the "Million Dollar Mermaid" claimed this in her book but Jane Russell and Sheila McRae both came to his defense (being dead, he could not defend himself). But he was goodlooking.....Maureen OHara said he was a sweeheart but not much of an actor.
