About this user

I have always been fascinated by makeup and style. One of my earliest and fondest memories is of watching my mother do her makeup, it used to captivate me, mind you this was in the early 70's and it only consisted of pale blue eye shadow and little else, but at that time it seemed magical to watch. Every now and then this fascination seems a little strange to me as I am not what you would call a traditional beauty. My chosen career path, high school teacher, means that beauty and makeup is generally right at the bottom of my priority list however discovering this YouTube makeup community has reinspired me. It incorporates all the things I love, learning new things from others, teaching and sharing ideas, and my old (almost forgotten) fascination with makeup.

My main interests are:
Theatre - I have been involved in community Theatre for 20 years. When asked I often tell people that theatre keeps me sane, mind you I'm not sure if you can count poncing about on stage pretending to be someone else as all that 'sane'?

My job - I love teaching, I know it sounds really cheesy, but I love helping young people reach their potential, you never forget that moment when you see the 'light bulb' turn on for a young person! When they realise they can do it!
