I consider myself a weirdsistA technician ... my art is a spell, an old story that involves ancient skills. I am a believer in old legends and work with weaving and binding to creates a locked follicle that is beyond wax or chemicals, but instead an installation that is bound with natural elements.

I have been making dreadlocks for more then 15 years. I have many thoughts around dreads, and would love to discuss these thoughts with you, I am clear, after many years, that anyone can have dreads. No matter what your background or hair type. You do not need wax, glue, backcombing, to make a dread. you need a lifestyle change, dreads are a lifestyle not a hairstyle. We believe, at the weirdsistas, that weaving and binding your hair , is a spiritual journey, that creates the brave, that allows us to journey inside and see ourselves, rather then, judging others. When we decide to dread our locks, it begins a process that will heal the soul, it allows us to 'be different'.... welcome to my world of love and exceptance, where we celebrate 'the other' .
