Right wing organisation especially use stewards as they definitely do not want their organisations to be discredited in the press by scenes of violence. So Klan rallies and marches by right wing parties such as the British National Front party include many stewards. Stewards are usually recruited from supporters of the organisation which plans the event who agree to ensure their fellow demonstrators behave orderly and disciplined.
