Irish/Italian Catholic, lost my religion as my spiritual beliefs evolved based on my travels, education and life experience. My spiritual beliefs parallel Buddhist philosophy. We enter this world with nothing, we leave with nothing. So take a deep breath, embrace humility and acknowledge that No One knows what happens when we die, best just do right by others and enjoy the ride!
In my experience the definition of love in all its contexts is simply to give and conversely hate is expressed by all forms of taking and selfishness. Most human suffering is the end product of our own selfish desires coming full circle (karma).
Somewhat of an iconoclast, I don't believe the Bible, Quran, Torah, Book of Mormon, or ANY RELIGIOUS TEXT are in any way "Divine Revelation".
The Bible and other primitive religious texts were written by superstitious men who thought the Earth was flat and claimed ALL creation began as a Divine gift given to mankind a mere 4 or 5 thousand years ago by an all knowing, all powerful magic egotistical man who lives in the sky and grants wishes and immortality to people in return for worshiping his Glory. It seems to me one would have to have the mind of a small insecure child to believe in such ridiculous nonsense.
The geologic age of the Earth is millions of years old. How do we know this? Dinosaur fossils etc. hello? This FACT alone as well as many others, exposes the ignorance of most religious doctrine. I believe whatever forces are involved in Creation they reveal themselves through our ever growing understanding of Science. The creation of the Universe occured long before man 1st appeared and will continue to exist long after we extinguish ourselves.
In my experience the practice of most religions, especially Christianity and Islam, are corrupt domination theologies that indoctrinate and exploit the weak, needy and feeble minded by promoting fear, ignorance, hate, and elitist delusions of entitlement to Devine privlege.
Most conservatives seem to take pride in their ignorance buying into propaganda that revolves around false, self-serving economic, political, and religious arguments that start with conclusions simply backwards engineered with a good amount of revisionist history thrown in that advocates authoritarianism, selfishness, greed, racism, sexism, homophobia and somehow considers these things to be nostalgic and virtuous.
FACTS mean nothing to Conservatives.They consistently LIE about everything they claim to believe in to the point of delusion. When FACTS contradict their hypocrisy they just double down and back up their lies with more lies making it up as they go. The failure of conservative ideology is so complete that conservatives themselves now even deny their conservatives and call themselves other things like the Tea Party or values voters.
A few examples of conservative delusions: We finally found those WMD's in Iraq! ...The Founding Fathers were Christians, the United States is a "Christian Nation"...Tax Cuts for the Rich "trickle down" to create jobs for the middle class...Global climate change is a myth, but just in case its proven true (it has been) burning fossil fuels has nothing to do with it...Wall Street lobbist had nothing to do with Deregulation and somehow it was the over reaching Federal Gov't that forced Banks to commit fraud against their will, falsify loan documents and give mortgage loans to poor, undeserving, lazy brown people...Ronald Reagan won the Cold War...President Obama is a facist, communist, Muslim who hates America...liberal secularists have declaired War on Christmas, mom and apple pie...NOT!
Legally married to my husband in 2008 before Prop 8 was imposed by Christian fanatics who like the Taliban want to impose Theocracy on the USA. Keep myself busy achieving business goals, working out at the gym, club hopping with my friends, political activism on behalf of GLBT community and flying to points unknown with my husband who like myself is a successful capitalist entrepreneur as well as an experienced pilot.

First career goal was to fly high performance aircraft for USAF but washed out of flight school due to a minor eye sight impairment. I enjoy a wide variiety of music but mainly listen to rock, jazz and classical. I recently found a local L.A. base radio station that's also on line 100.3 "The Sound" which plays a nice mix of classic rock.
