@idolfan17 He actually did learn to play the violin for his role, and uses the real fingering for songs on screen. The music, though, isn't his--he uses a silent violin for filming and replace it with a different recording.

@MaxedOutMovies It's not so much to do with science, but rather physics. You might be surprised how much of physics can defy common knowledge. I'm not saying it is possible, just that there's a chance it could be.

Whenever I hear this song, the only thing that I can think of is Curt Lemon's intestines being pulled down from the trees. The Things They Carried is an amazing book, but once you read it, there's images that will haunt you forever.

I don't think that this is necessarily supposed to be racist, but rather this was the way that southerners (and even into the north) in general talked during the time period. In my opinion, it's more racist to say that these crows are supposed to represent African Americans based on the way they...
