An abstract by Gwen Fox
Her art makes me happy

THINGS I BELIEVE TO BE TRUE

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing"
Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797)

"The great business of life is to be, to do, to do without, and to depart"
John Morley (1838 - 1923)

"You see, ya can't please everyone, so ya got to please yourself"
Ricky Nelson - "Garden Party" (1971)

"They don't give medals to yesterday's heroes, yesterdays over and I've got to live for today"
Ricky Nelson - "On The Flip Side" (1966)

"Machines were mice and men were lions
Once upon a time
Now that it's the opposite
It's twice upon a time"
Moondog (Louis Thomas Hardin) The Viking of 6th Avenue (1916 - 1999)

Hometown:
I live in Communicado, a small town just outside of Cognito. This is in the state of Confusion
Country:
United States
Movies:
A Man and a Woman - The Magnificent Seven - Big Country - The Conversation - The Shawshank Redemption - Thomas Crown Affair (McQueen version) - Any Western with music by Ennio Morricone - West Side Story - On Any Sunday - The Professional (Leon). I could go on and on but these are the films I go back to again and again. When I need a good laugh I can away depend on Young Frankenstein ______________________________
Music:
Broadway show tunes and movie sound tracks - Almost anything done by Ennio Morricone, Henry Mancini, John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith - Most anything by Roberta Flack - Rock and Roll (oldies, 60s and 70s) - Most Chopin pieces - Queen - Janis Joplin.. All music is beautiful to someone. It's just that all music is not beautiful to everyone. Find the music that lifts your spirit, makes you think, makes you love and most of all makes you care and keep that music in your head and in your heart. ______________________________
Books:
1984 - The Stand - Most E.A. Poe - Most anything by Samuel Clemens - Stranger In A Strange Land
