The Family of Jack Webb

I love this channel and am extremely grateful to you and your family for sharing your precious photos. My dad, uncles and my godfather were all policemen and many of my Dad's friends were firemen. When I was a little girl, my sister and I watched Dragnet and Emergency! Those programs gave us an idea of the importance of police and firefighters, which was valuable since at the time, we were teased and called "pigs" because of our Dad's job. Today, I listen to the radio shows on my iPod and watch the later show on Hulu. He was an amazing man. You must miss him terribly but please know how much joy he brought and is still bringing to so many. --Cherie

I also remember watching Dragnet in the 1950's - all black and white and 1956 Ford Victoria's, I think. Or maybe Fairlanes. The old episodes are probably not available because the people in charge think no one wants to see black and white. But those of us who grew up with it don't care. Many years ago on a San Francisco talk show a woman called in to say she had gone to school with Jack. This was before World War II. She said he was a completely different person before he went off to war. Said he was the "class clown". But when he came home after the war that was all gone. War does that to people. Thank you for posting these wonderful photos.

Hi...I am not sure that you would be able to either do anything about this, or refer me to someone who could, but here goes...I would really like to be able to access the 1950's Dragnet episodes. There are some that are available on the internet and DVD, but not many. I have watched every 1967-1970 episode over and over again, as well as every 1950's episode that is available, and I'm taking the radio shows slowly because I know there's nothing left after that. I'd be willing to pay good money for the unavailable 1950's episodes. If you could help me I would greatly appreciate it!

What a wonderful page. I watched Dragnet from when I was a little kid growing up in the 60's. And I still watch it today. In fact, it may be more relevant now than ever before in US history. Dragnet was a family staple in our home. I was 7 in 1967 and have been a dedicated Jack Webb fan ever since. I wish to God he were alive today, to try and use his genius to straighten out the Liberal/Socialist mentality that has shipwrecked our great country. God bless his memory. RIP Mr. Webb, you were simply "the Best."

We are proud to announce that we recently teamed up with Shout Factory/ Universal/NBC and put together an excellent Jack Webb/ Dragnet 1968 DVD series that will be out in July. It features many of our never before seen Jack Webb photos, alternative version Prologue by Stacy Webb, alternate liner notes and excerpts from "Just The Fact's Ma'am-the Authorized Jack Webb Biography" and new interviews with Dragnet cast members and Webb's former wife, the beautiful Jackie Loughery. A real MUST for any Jack Webb/Dragnet fan.

This is really wonderful! I really liked "Emergency!" when I was a child. But in the summer of 2008, I began to get back into the swing of things with that show. I'm still hoping the six "Emergency!"-related TV movies would be released on DVD at a sooner date. That way, fans would be able to complete their collections sooner.
