Wooden Boy is a four piece alternative rock band.
Wooden Boys music is a marriage of darkness and light, of sweet and sour. With the soaring, blisteringly powerful vocals, brooding and savage guitar, tribal rhythms and earth shaking bass grooves, Wooden Boy are fast making their presence known with their own unique brand of adrenaline fueled post grunge Rock.
2010 saw Wooden Boy play some of their biggest headline shows to date, performing high profile industry showcases for Jar Music Group and RCA records at some of the country's biggest touring venues. These included main stage appearances at the O2 Academies in Islington, Birmingham and Liverpool and the world famous cavern club, with the band gathering an ever growing army of loyal fans as they went.
Riding off the crest of this success Wooden Boy have spent the last six months writing and rehearsing with a new and most welcome addition to the line up, vocalist Rebecca Farr.
This has culminated in the recording of a brand new double A side, which was recorded at the world famous Rockfield residential studios, near Monmouth south Wales, with legendary producer and Wooden Boy regular Nick Brine (Oasis, The Darkness, Arctic Monkeys, Sea Sick Steve...)
Tour dates for the later part of 2011 will be announced shortly, along with details of the release of their brand new double A side.
