Big Beat Records is an New York based dance music label that operates as a subsidiary of Atlantic Records (part of the Warner Music Group). Founded as an indie label in 1987 by 22-year-old New York DJ Craig Kallman, the original house sounds of the label were influenced by New York's all-encompassing hip hop scene to create a catalogue ranging from the dance smash hit 'Show Me Love' by Robin S. to the chart-topping hip hop of Notorious B.I.G. protégés Lil' Kim and Junior M.A.F.I.A.
Now re-launching with electronically leaning acts of all shapes and sizes, Big Beat's worldwide roster includes Skrillex, Chuckie, Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, and Wynter Gordon.
