Nice tarp, I saw below another guy suggested paraffin and I would suggest the same. I have been waterproofing my deck for years with linseed oil with paraffin dissolved in it. Works a lot better than thompson's water seal.

I think this version of the juice was supposed to be their answer to the SwissChamp another tool that is too thick for its own good. I wish they had a model like this w/o the corkscrew, serrated blade, or fixed blade drivers. Actually, a skeletool with a saw and a file would be dandy with me.....

Perfect reinforcement for the 2 is one and 1 is none philosophy ... That is why you never have just one cutting tool. A small rat3 would make a good backup to a knife that size.

My GFB axe has a metal wedge in it, I think you did fine with it. Make sure you use boiled linseed oil and not just regular linseed oil.

Not necessary to put a pin through it. That joint is plenty strong.

I ended up giving away a tank like that at work because it had issues with leaking. But I traded it for some work from a guy who knew of a place he could get it repaired. We replaced it with a ul listed double wall tank that has a rupture basin to capture leaks.

Very interesting, I keep hearing all about this Six Sigma Concept and the more I hear, the more I think I need to get a book and read up on it. I think there is a lot to be said for analytical analysis of processes within everything you do daily to self improve.
