Wayne Brennan was born and raised in Central Ireland, in a town called Daingean in Co. Offaly, where, at the tender age of fourteen he developed a natural ability to express his innermost emotions through music. Having a musical background in a traditional Irish home was beneficial, however, Wayne is self-educated in the art of instrumentation, song writing and singing, which is profound considering his now vast eclectic style.
Deciding that the nine to five office job, or shoveling dirt on a building site wasnt for him, he began to travel a lot during his late teens. Allowing his soul to become immersed in a multicultural world. In fact, hes never really stopped traveling, and its because of this curious nature and desire to see, feel and taste what the wider world has to offer, that gives him such a broader canvas to create his music.
Its with this curious mind and fearlessness, that Wayne soon acquired an ability to find a home wherever his heart tended to dwell. Adapting himself to new environments and even learning four new languages along the way. An earthly wisdom beyond his young years. It was at this point that he felt the platform was set which would enable him to refine his musical ambitions and lay testimony to Mother Natures unforeseen beauty.
Whether it was living in a Peniche on the river Seine, or busking in the streets and Metros of Paris... Sailing the Mediterranean sea off the golden coast of the Riviera, onwards across the Italian islands of Pontine, or playing guitar around a campfire in the vast landscapes of Andalusia in Spain and even surfing the swells off the coast of Hawaii. Each of these amazing memories became fuel for Waynes creative and artistic mind. And now, what was once a blank canvas, is transformed into a wonderful collage of musical endeavour.
This wisdom and experience is all too evident in his upcoming Debut album, aptly titled In My Hands which is due for National release on May 1st. Preceded by a single release on Feb. 27th titled Please Please
For Wayne, the date is now set, and he has reached a point in his life of no return.
The only thing that is certain now, is the realization of Waynes journey coming full circle, and the satisfaction of knowing that his destiny is, and always was, in His hands!
