Wax Rabit and Vj Joebbels are a duo of producers in both edgy and eclectic electronic music and live projected mixed media visuals. Striving for something unique, the duo are sweeping like a bass filled mist across dance floors throughout east Australia, with a progressive style that crosses genres like Dubstep, D'n'B, Psytrance, House, Bigbeat and Drumstep with Reggae, Dub and World Music along with anything else that just "feels right".

Its about taking the audience on a journey, and for the small time they own the stage, you are introduced you to new concepts, visually and musically, that immerse the listener in a free form environment that unleashes some truly psychedelic experiences leaving the crowd dazed, panting, and quite possibly very rowdy for the next act!

Both growing up in a country town called Orange in NSW, the pair have had striking success playing shows at clubs, bush doofs, uni bars, festivals, cafes and who could forget that dudes lounge room? Some highlights include Regrowth Festival (Regen, Canb), Supporting UK DJ Crissy Criss (low society, Syd), and single handily getting 36 noise complaints in 45 minutes while playing to a 300 strong crowd at a pub that got shut down during their set, which caused an actual riot. For reals...

There are two faces to this double act that reveal themselves in the diverse shows they play, sticking to original music and visuals produced at Wax Rabit Studios when playing festivals and doofs, but deciding to play more traditional dj sets when in a club or bar. On stage, WR & VJJ have ditched the 1's and 2's and followed a more electronic and live focused approach, using laptops, midi controllers, and all manner of FX machines to warp and mangle the sound and distort and twist visual mindscapes.

Having already digitally released his debut ep "Smoked up, Dubbed Out" Wax Rabit has continued to work with Vj Joebbels and they are currently producing their new album which is due out late 2011. This cunning pair are keen at it' in the studio, designing a whole new live show composed entirely of original music and visuals, ready to drop on some spongy minds right across Oz and beyond!
