Waves Of Power Gospel Radio is the first online 24/7 Tamil Christian Radio station making joyful noise on the net for Christ Jesus.
WAVES OF POWER is a non-profit team based in Toronto, Canada. It began as a 30 minute program on a local Tamil radio station in July, 2004. Our vision, following the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, is to proclaim the kingdom of God to more than 350,000 Tamil speaking people in Toronto and millions around the world and prepare them for the Second Coming of our Lord.
In December, 2004, www.wavesofpower.com was launched which expanded our listener's base beyond Toronto to other parts of Canada, Europe, the Middle east, Sri Lanka, India, USA and Southeast Asian countries. Links to this website can be found in other major Tamil Christian websites around.
In January, 2006 an online Tamil web radio, first in Toronto, began 24/7 broadcast of the Gospel in songs and music, dramas and skits that are enjoyed by both the young and the old alike.
On November 4, 2006 a live program was started at 9 am (Eastern Time) with a live talk-show at 10 am in which listeners interact with the moderator by calling phone lines. Since then, it has been continued with the conviction that many people are thus being reached for Christ.
The tool we use to make our vision a reality is the Tamil Gospel Radio. Using it we present the Gospel to the world in the form of Tamil Christian songs, Online Tamil Church Services, Live coverage of Christian programs, Prayer Requests, Interviews, Messages, Testimonies, Talk Shows, Dramas and Poems.
