About SURFS UP!!
I started surfing in 1979 when I was 13 and had never used sunblock or rashguards for burn protection. In 2004 I was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma(see my skin cancer video). Scared the hell out of me so I quit the Sun all together. Had to have a (Wide Skin Excission) on my back as well as having some Lymphnodes removed from my groin. I guess the good part was just having surgery and not needing CHEMO or RADIATION THERAPY...In DEC. 2008, I decided to surf again but with all precautions from exposure to the furious sun gods. It's been hard staying away from the ocean as it has always been my favorite place!! I'll post vids of local surfers as well as some of myself from time to time.
